Some people love old buildings and organ music, robed choirs, processions and candles. Some people love modern buildings and guitar-based bands, video projections and service leaders in casual attire. And some people find all of this strange, inaccessible or irrelevant.
We all know that there are lots of people in our parishes who never come to church services. The Reaching New People Group has been given the task of helping our churches reach these people.

At our Deanery Synod meeting in March 2025, we had a discussion about “Multi-faceted Mission” which enabled us to discuss with our neighbours the different kinds of different opportunities for worship that are available at our churches. This information is being collated and a report will be published here. It is hoped that parishes with similar experiences will be able to share information and expertise with one another.
