Following on from the presentation the Waterways Chaplaincy at the Synod meeting in July 2022, this group is considering how our churches might best support those in need in our parishes and hopes to be a hub for sharing expertise and experience.

Christ Church, Ware, operates a CAP debt centre (Christians Against Poverty).
The Great Amwell with St Margaret’s and Stanstead Abbots benefice are engaged with a charity called “Transforming Lives for Good” (TLG) and have been running regular community lunches. See their anniversary celebration blogpost here.
In 2024, Hunsdon Church began operating a foodbank as a satellite from the Hertford District Foodbank (run by the Trussell Trust).
